Our first win.

Our second game looked alot like the first for a half.  We played great defense but our offense couldn't put together a drive.  We eventually made it to half time, up 6-0.  The second half started off difficult with a kickoff return......by Narrows.  After a 2 pt conversion, we now trailed 8-6.  Our next possession, we changed the game for good.  We put together a great drive and combined with stellar defense, we rolled to a 32-8 win.  We will face the same team on the last day of the season.

A tough start to the season.

Of all the dry days in August, we play on the one that had to be a monsoon.  I checked the weather prior to leaving my home that morning and it was only a 20% chance of rain.  The 20 % must have found us and decided to stay.  By half time, I could squeeze out a "gallon" of water from my shirt.  This was my TEAM's first game.  We played great defense giving up two big plays that proved to be the difference in the game.  We lost to Galax 13-6.  I'm proud of the team for their effort and the fact that we didn't have a lot of turnovers on such a sloppy night!
